Paintjob on a ride on lawnmower.. what type of primer and paint?

I bought a used tractor/mower. Needs a paint job badly, paint has faded and rust has begun.
So, I know how to sand it from rough to very fine grit/wet sand.....
but my question is:
ANyone know a good auto paint primer to use?
Also, suggestions for a good brand of auto paint? I was thinking high gloss black with a clear coat over it.

Any info or further help would get great.... brands, techniques when prepping the body for paint, etc... thanks!
 
ppg sherwin williams any of em are about the same. if ur goin black. better be sure the body work is FLAWLESS black is the worst color for hiding imperfections in the body work...and u dont want to prime over too fine a grit paper.... it will lift... do your wet sanding prior to your top coats
