Painting my bicycle, Need Help !?

Ok so I just got a 70's Schwinn Varsity for DIRT cheap $20.The paint is chipped and not very good so I have started the process to prep the frame.

So far I have stripped everything off and sanded the frame.


What type of paint do I use ? Lacquer or Enamel
How many coats of each ?

Use a lacquer primer 2 lite coats or what ever is needed to hide spots. The same with the color coat several lite coats are better then thick ones. Let it cure to where you can't smell the paint anymore before you put it back together. Use a lacquer clear coat if you wish. There are many web sites that explain the process.
