I bought a really awesome art piece at a thrift store...I love it....however I hate the frame....not so much the frame but the color of the frame....its a wooden frame.....with a pretty thick layer of paint....I would like to paint the frame a different color...maybe even add some texture to it....so my question is...
how should I go about painting the frame? (I cant buy a new frame because the art work is attached to the frame)....should I sand it first since the paint is so thick before I add another color.....or should I buy a primer so the color will stick bettter?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
