I am sanding down to the metal in the middle of the fender (about a 10" diameter). Should I prep the area with a cleaner or solution? If so, what type of solution should I use to clean it before I prime it and should I not get the bondo wet with this cleaner- many people say NOT to use any liquids but how do I get ALL the dusk off?
I am using all sprays cans e.g. primer, auto base coat, clear enamel.
Please let me know how much time to go between each step. I assume I have to do 2-3 light coats of everything- is 15-20 minutes between coats enough? 78 degrees 60% humidity
Also I sanded down to the bondo last night and didn't prime over it- got dark. It did NOT rain but there was moisture on the car overnight- could this have damaged the bondo or if I lightly sand it will it be ok? It did not appear to swell (absorb moisture).
