I'm going to paint my beach cruiser aluminum rims flat black, including the spokes. From what I can tell, I need to first use thinner to get off any teflon on the rim then use self etching primer, followed by paint. Am I missing anything? Should I take apart the hubs to not get paint in the bearings? Or are they sealed enough that if I don't spray too much in the cracks it will be fine. Also, how would I take the a axel apart if I REALLY should?
