You need Photoshop, Indesign or Corel. You can download photoshop on a trial basis.

What you need to do is open your drawing or pic and selct transparency or the lens option. You can open a second pic and do the same and copy/paste it on top of the first and resize it, move it around etc... if you feel like it.

By clicking on each pic, you can apply separate transparency effect and incorporate 2 or 3 or even 4 pics with different effects and all will blend into one.

You can also apply the feather option if you want the edges to blend better.
 
how do i make a hole in 1 layer fade to something on another layer using the gradient tool i dont wanna use another color for the fade effect just the picture and how do i make the color transparent?fell free to ask for more info
ok well basically i need to fade two images into each other i dont want the image to fade into one color then to the second image i just want it to fade from one image to the other
im using paint.net but if you have any advice for photoshop that might help
