I have been seeing a PT for a few weeks now and cannot understand why i am getting a painful upper left arm which seems to start from my left shoulder blade. If i turn my head to my left the muscles really pull and hurt behind my left shoulder blade and it seems to travel down my upper left arm. My PT thinks it is definately a muscular problem but i wonder if it is much deeper than that like a trapped nerve or tendonitis or bursitis etc. sometimes i think it starts from my arm and then other times i think it might start from my neck downwards so am a bit confused. I would really like to know what is going on but obviously i will need an x-ray or MRI to know for sure, what do I do? do i push my PT to send me for further tests or do i wait until she decides what to do?
