Pain while using the restroom.. The cause?

I have a herniated disc at l5 s1.. But when I have a bowel momement or prior to i have extreme pain.. I do have pain while using the restroom but what could cause the pains prior? This is very painful.. Anyone else have these problems? It is not from constipation I am regular(sorry for TMI)... Please let me know
 
Hi I am new to your message board but have had a back problem dating back 25+ years and I'm only 40. OK, I have the same pain in my lower back and I think it is truley just the pushing of the feces against your lurabar region. I hate to be so graphic, but you are not the only one. It is a very powerful pain though, I'm so sorry that you have it.

I had this prior to having my back surgery. It has to do with your herniated disc.

The only way it went away was through my surgery. I had a herniated L4/5 and L5/S1.

Yes, it bites to have pain in those areas, and was glad to get some relief after surgery.

My suggestion is to go to a doctor, have them order an MRI, and get set to have some surgery. I waited to long to get it fixed and now have lasting nerve damage in my left leg. If your left leg starts feeling heavy with nurabness and tingling, you are waiting to long to get it fixed.
