Pain that doctors can't find a reason for...

About three weeks ago I began to have a deep pain in my right flank area, at the waist. It's been getting worse so I saw my doctor on Friday. She ordered urine and blood tests which came back fine. So no kidney infection, no UTI, etc. By Saturday it was hurting me pretty bad so I went to the ER. They did a CT scan and said all looks normal. I saw my doctor again today and she is ordering an MRI (if my insurance will approve it). It's not muscular. I can bend every which way, twist, etc, and it doesn't make it hurt. She pressed really hard on the area today, which also didn't make it hurt. It's deeper than can be palpated. I don't have any irregular gastro symptoms, no fever, nothing. Just a deep pain that hurts really, really bad. The ER doc was quite puzzled and so is my primary doctor. They can't think of anything it could be with the CT showing that all my organs are fine, there are no cysts, bowel loops, tears, nothing. I'm hoping the MRI gets approved soon but unless it picks up on something that the CT missed, it might not show anything either. Has anyone ever had anything like this? Any ideas on what this might be? It hurts me so bad all the time.
