Does anyone else get this gnawing pain below the sternum? It feels like it's right above the stomach. It aches and burns and has a "hollow" feeling like the kind of pains you get when you're really hungry. I don't think it's an ulcer because I just had a clean endoscopy about 4 mos. ago.
I've had chronic GERD for 12+ years and since earlier this year the PPI's aren't controlling my symptoms anymore. This pain is keeping me up nights and I can't sleep. What can I try? Do I need to beg my doc for pain killers or what? Thanks.
