pain in the back of the thigh when i sit there is no swelling or warmth touch to it

I have a history with a siatic nerve and 2 days ago when i was walking a sharp pain jointed down my leg and made it miserable to walk or sit. It hurts to turn a certain way and there is intense pain in my left thigh and butt when i sit. Could this be the nerve again
