This has been going on for about 6 months now. I dont remember doing anything to injure my ribs. After doing any sort of activity, even walking to fast i get a horrible pain in my ribs. its in the middle on the left side edge of my ribs. At first it feels like its tightening and then it feels very sharp. After i stop doing the activity it takes about 30-45 min. for it to go away. I have tried advil, tylenol, aleve, ice, heat, and a steroid pack from my doctor. Nothing has helped. I have been to multiple doctors and what they thought it was was costochondritis. I had xrays done at the orthapedic and they did not show anything that looked un normal except mild scoliosis. The orthapedic referred me to a physical therapist and i have been doing physical therapy for about a month. It has not helped at all and the pain is still there after doing activity. I have cut down on activity to see if it makes it any better but it hasnt. I cant completly cut activity out because like i said even walking a little bit to fast in between classes can make it hurt horribly. I went back to the orthapedic and he has now refered me to a chest surgeon to hopefully get an MRI and a better idea of whats going on. Does anybody have any idea what it could be?
