For the past week I have been experiencing mild pains in my armpits, upper legs and groin areas. I went to the doctor and he felt these areas as well as my neck and confirmed that I have NO swelling in the lymph nodes. Everywhere I search shows that pain and swollen lymph nodes come together, however I have no swelling. I am concerned, but cannot seem to find any information on this topic.
For a little background, I am a 23 year old male. A month ago I had an alcohol binge weekend with some old college friends. A few days following that I went to the doctor with lightheadedness and inconsistent bowel movements. They also found bacteria in my urinalysis and put me on the antibiotic ciprofloxacin for 5 days. A week after that a strep test was done and found the bacteria in my throat (of which I never got any symptoms). I was then put on the antibiotic cephalexin for 10 days, which has been completed. Needless to say, after being sick for the past month my stress and anxiety levels have spiked up pretty high. Towards the end of my last antibiotic course I started to develop these pains in the lymph areas.
The pains are not constant, but come and go throughout the day. When I feel the areas that the lymph nodes are in I feel no pain or tenderness whatsoever. This makes me curious why I have the random fits of pain in the armpit and groin. Does anybody have any answers at all or any advice? Thanks!
