i'm a 21year old guy frm india. i have always been into sports and working out etc..
arnd 2 months ago a pain strtd in my lower back. i consulted 2 doctors with x-rays but they say nothing is wrong. though the 2nd doctor i went to told me tht the pain is between l2-l3..
they said it might be a tissue rupture or some muscle problem and both ruled out the possibility of a slipped disc.

now the problem i've been having is tht i have not been able to workout as the pain persists, nor have i been able to play sports, manly because im afraid the problem might get aggravated.

as far as the pain is concerned sometimes its there and sometimes not there..i feel it the most if i bend backwarRAB. there is NO pain in the legs (though there is weird muscle/joint pain in my left knee f r bout 2 weeks, which has increased over the last two days n it pains if i walk alot or strain it a little ). the pain is basically jus on the lower-right tip of L2 n i feel it if i press tht point..and when i bend backwarRAB, the pain is at the same place and a little to its right too..

i'd be grateful if ne1 would be able to help me as it has restricted my lifestyle...
PLZ HELP

My next step would be talk to a physical therapist. They might help you with some exercises to help heal this area. Ice has always worked for me on the sore spots.
Let us know how you are doing!

Blessings,

thanks for the reply michelle,
actually i've consulted a neuro surgeon n a spine specialist, but both haven been able to tell me what the problem is..
n i dun think ice packs would help..i've tried them..n the discomfort has been there fr over 2 months now.. n nothing helps..

and somehow the pain in my left knee has increased..
plz can ne1 help with wat can it be, n can it be a case of slipped disc??

Sorry to hear of your pain.... Have they done x-rays and MRIs? some times things wont show up on x-rays and will on MRIs or wont show on either and just on a discogram....I do know some of the absolute best doctors are from India and you should be in good hanRAB.....just seek out a specialist and go from there......thats all I have to offer and I hope it helps a little....also give it a little rest to maybe heal....dont be so quick to get back at the sports and working our for awhile....it may just need some time.

Take care,

Devon
