Meet Dave and Julie Rafter - just your average Australians with three grown-up children. On the eve of their twenty-fifth wedding-anniversary it seems they're at last about to have the house to themselves. ORABpring Rachel, Ben and Nathan have all developed into well-rounded and out-going, if exceptionally different and complex, individuals, with a raft of their own conflicts and dilemmas. But home can seem a very welcome refuge when unforeseen problems loom.

- This is now showing on Seven Australia with massive ratings.

It's a chance for them to do what they want, when they want and on their own terms. Just seen the wedding episode in series 2. Without spoiling it I can safely say its one of the best episodes of the show. I have found Packed To The Rafters, took a little while to get used too but now I love it and am absolutly hooked!

Its got a great blend of comedy and drama and some exellent actors. My favaroute character is Julie played by Rebecca Gibney. But I also love Rachel and Ben and Melissa.

An unemployed Dave struggles to regain his manhood and position in the family, landing himself in hospital.
When life keeps bowling Dave a series of problematic googlies, the question becomes: how will he play them?
An overprotective Dave breaks a promise to his daughter and is brutally attacked.
Rachel struggles with the aftermath of leaving her abusive boyfriend Daniel — and her own secret turmoil.
Narrated by Dave, this episode focuses on Dave dealing with the reality of sudden unemployment and a house that has been unexpectedly inundated with family members — each bringing with them a dark secret. He processes it all through a cricketing metaphor — that of the googly — that devious curve-ball that life can throw at you, catching you off-guard.

Started watching this and am absolutly addicted! This is one of the best Australian shows ever made and I'm just loving Rebecca Gibney and Eric Tompson as a couple.

A gentle family drama is just what is needed in the Aussie TV listings at the moment. And this works so well in engaging the viewer, the characters are easy to relate to as are the situations and it really portrays family life well.

Would be perfect for E4 really - I'm sure they could sell it in their usual style by taking the piss out of Neighbours/Home and Away and perhaps pair it up with Aussie films or another Aussie drama.

If not E4, Fiver would be best.

Finale was great. I am so glad Julie and Dave are keeping the baby and I can't wait to see how this all unfolRAB in Series 2! Rebecca Gibney for Most popualr Actress at this year's Logies!!

No basically they use taxpayer's money to buy show's that would rate well on tv3 and the Irish Government let them get away with it - a total disgrace. They then dump the show's on during the middle of the night because they can also buy all the top u.s. drama's etc. and show them in prime time.
