I have a rootkit virus and I wanted to reinstall windows using the recovery partition on my hard drive. I tryed pressing alt+10 but it booted into mediashield bios and when I pressed f11 on boot up it booted up into which operating system do I want to(I have only vista installed on my pc) Before the rootkit appeared I had windows 8 consumer pack installed on my pc ( different partition) But then I deleted the partition. 4 months ago I was reinstall window using the recoverybpartition an it worked fine.
I dont want to waste ?50 just to buy a new windows vista cd from packard bell because I will be buying s new pc in 4 months time.
Any help would be appreaciated!

Ps. When I wanted to make the windows dvds on the packard software it gave me an error on the secound dvd. Now I csnt rven open packard bell recovery dvd maker because it say Enpowering technology is not ready please restart your computer and try again.
