the interesting part is that the freeze frame registered among other things INTAKE MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE of 72 In Hg??????? when this code was activated. Other engine parameters were all in range, can't remember exactly now what they were but this 72 In Hg is so strange. Any ideas about this code? thank you in advance - al
we all know that with ignition on intake pressure will be same as outside pressure usually around 30 In Hg, and at that time MAP sensor is getting about 4.7 V now what could cause 72 in Hg? intermittent open or short somewhere?
yes if egr opens map pressure will go up but it will not go over the normal outside pressure which is an average of 30 in Hg
