P0336 Cranksaft Position Sensor on 1999 Dodge Ram Removal Instructions?

I'm trying to find the Crankshaft Position Sensor on a 1999 Dodge Ram (Diesel) with no luck. Do I have to remove the starter to see it and then remove it? I hope I don't have to take everything apart on this truck, because I just finished replacing a cracked exhaust manifold (just over 100k). It should be just under the the Fuel Transfer Pump, but maybe I'm just blind.
This is my first time on this site. Can you add pictures to your post and how do you respond, other than to add details?
Is not the bellhousing and the transmission (flywheel) houseing the same? If so, does the Crankshaft Position Sensor have to be further forward on the block so that it can sense the missing tooth on the tone wheel (which is connected to the crankshaft)?

it is on top of the bell housing,u have to remove two bolts that hold it in.more to the drivers side of the bell housing.all the cps does is give the pcm a veiw of the speed and position of the crankshaft.the cps is like a magnet, and reads off the the torque converter.everytime that certain spot on the torque converter hits the cps it retards.in other words sending a signal to the pcm.and the way to tell if ur cps is bad,the vehicle will nit turn over or start.
