I have a 2003 Mazda 6i 2.3L
My car starts for about 5 minutes then turns off, but if i keep my foot on the gas it stays on. If i try to start it again after it shuts off, it starts then turns off automatically. Even the cars radio looks scrambled. When I ran a diagnostic myself on the car I got the P0011 error. I have read on the internet that it means "CMP timing over-advanced ON 2 CCM." And it could be one of these things,
* Cam timing improperly set
* Continuous oil flow to the VCT piston chamber
* VCT solenoid valve stuck open
* Camshaft advance mechanism binding (VCT unit)
I don't really understand these things so can anyone help me and explain what all of this really means? And how much would it cost to get it fixed. I just need a legitimate answer. Thank you ahead of time!
