A few weeks ago I put up a post about how much I hate doctors. Well, since then, I've been to 2 more and I've had to cut an international trip short due to pain.

I'm so tired of being in pain. It's a constant sharp pain in the lower part of my gut and even the pain killers the last doctor gave me can only dull it. I have an appointment to see a specialist in a week, but I'm not sure I'll make it until then. I'm going insane. I started a temp job today and all I could think was, god it hurts so badly. In order to fall asleep I have to have a heating pad on my stomach. This is getting out of hand and honestly, I'm starting to feel suicidal again. I can only hope and pray that the specialist can figure this out because if they can't, the rest of my life won't be very long.

Mags, I'm sorry that you haven't been feeling well. I have too, but my problem was I couldn't eat for three weeks.

I know you hate doctors, but you need to keep trying to figure out what this is. Don't let the physical pain get to you emotionally. Someone will find out what it is.

:hug2:

I don't know if you mentioned the tests they did on you, but have they checked for endometriosis? That can be VERY painful and it effects your pelvic area (unless it spreads). If they have not, they should. If anything, it would be another problem to eliminate and one step closer to possibly figuring it out. Medicine often is a process of elimination. Let's hope they figure this out before you really do go insane.

Feel better soon! :hug2:

I just thought I'd mention, if you haven't yet been diagnosed with IBS or Chrohn's, you might try seeing a chiropractor..

I know it sounds weird, but a buddy of mine had some serious urinary tract problems and spent around 15k trying to figure out what the problem was with various docs. I sent him to my chiropractor (because I know he threw his back out just previous to all of the symptoms happening) and the next day, it was all back to normal.

I have personally have had some digestion problems in the past and I had a vertebrae out in my back, got it popped back in, problems went away.

Just a thought :) and good luck

I go to a chiropractor on and off and it hasn't helped anything in the past.

I've had scans done to check for endometriosis and they didn't find anything out of the ordinary at the time. That was a few years back.

Thanks for the well wishes. Sometimes I just get so fed up with the whole ordeal. I have an appointment with a gastroenterologist on the 21st, so I'll fill you all in with what happens there. Probably not much with the first appointment, but maybe something will come of it.

Appendicitis or kidney stones are what come to mind when I hear about pain in abdomen. Hope you find out your ailment and a speedy remedy. Hang in there, Maggie, you'll be okay.

edit: I forgot about pregnancy and ulcers.
