So I’ve been thinking about this idea for a novel for a long time. I’ve written over 30 different short stories and now I think its time to write my first book. I’ve taken the basic approach in outlining each chapter, but now that I’m 45 pages into the outline I’ve hit a block. I can’t claim that its writers block because I know what needs to happen next. Rather I find that accomplishing an outline in such a short length of time has left me overwhelmed. Can any other writers give me tips on how to stay focused to my project without growing overwhelmed?
Basically: I want to write this book, but I want to do so in such a clear and non solipsistic manner as possible.
Advice?
Thanks,
