Emule?? Don't use it. There are too many mods contained Backdoor/ Trojan.
Because some modders put them into their mods. Not only your private information will leak, but also PC will be remote controlled by others.
Even Some claimed they are comfirmed by Official Emule Forum.

We need a whole new Overnet pro lite (same as KLite + 2.43), not emule.

Hmmm, mine is AMD Athlon XP Throughbred 2400+ & 512 PC-3200 DDR RAM. I don't see why it shouldn't run error free on your PC, are you sure that you're not using the Intel optimized version?

Emule 042b is a bad copycat of Edonkey2000. It don't make its Ek2K and KAD function well.
Edonkey can be better than eM, if it have IP-Blocker and mIRC (eM fans like those Plug-In). eD/ON also can improve their function, eM fans said eM is better.
 
erm hate to reiterate past posts, but I have the pro.dll prob - sort of
I start overnet lite(pro) and my wonderful(?) first aid 97 (hey, I have it , I'm poor so I use what I got lol ) pops up saying Overnet pro caused fault etc.
then I go to close program and it keeps loading for some reason, first aid pops up again, click close program etc, four or five times - then overnet loads up fine, mostly, but occaisionally tells me I'm firewalled (which I am with sygate personal firewall - but it's allowed to connect), but not every time - I then disable the firewall, overnet says it's open, and then reload sygate and everything seems to be hunky dorey - but is it? my d/load speed seems to be a tad lower - d'you reckon it's just the time of day or something more sinister?
sorry to be so long winded - hope it's (relatively) clear :D
 
I tried eMule the official client, i tried the optimized AMD version from eMule Plus, the same thing after 3 hours my pc need some coffes to restart :lol: :lol:
 
these arguments for and against emule or overnet are starting to piss me off.

from what ive read on those links there was nothing about any backdoor crap given to the installation files.

and of course if you stick an "if" and "can be" in front of a software its gonna be better.
ie..

How do you know they dont make the ed2k and kad well....have you looked at its code or given it any tests? AFAIK you use overnet and not kademlia so how can you say its not made well?..

POEPLE I DONT KNOW IF THIS HAS HAPPENED TO YOU BUT SINCE YESTERDAY OVERNET LITE PRO 0.53 IS NOT CONNECTION. I DONT HAVE A FIREWALL OR ANYTHING BLOCKING IT TO THE INTERNET WHATS GOING ON....
