Ok so i have a 2002, Honda Civic Dx, had it for almost 2 years now, replaced entire cooling system, timing belt with water pump, brand new radiator, thermostat, fan switches, heat gages, almost every aspect, and its still overheating, today i found the fans now working so they might need to be replaced, but what else is there? its not a blown head gasket, it would really over heat then and its not doing that, it seems also when its comepletely cooled down like overnight, i had to add antifreeze directly to my radiator, and it would stat cool for ehh a lil bit but then starts to heat up >:/
Also it fluctuates in temps, even on the highway. Going from normal to sometimes all the way to red. and its a nonstop constant happening. Also when the A/C is on it'll heat up even faster and sometimes turning on the heater doesnt help at all. we've been working on this overheating problem for over a year now. When we first got it, it was fine till the AZ summer, then got cooling system fixed it was fine during winter and spring, then summer months hit again and it goes right back downhill. I Have had probably 5 mechanics in my car, a honda dealership check it out, they told me my head gasket was bad and all this crap but half of it wasnt true, my head gasket was fine, engine help pressure and everything, i just have no damn clue what the hell is wrong. Any help would seriously be appreciated, my dads dropped close to 5gs into the car to fix it and it still doesnt work. Telling me to take it in this monday, Aug 16 2010, but if i could get anymore possible info before taking it to the Mechanic would be great!
Ok well see we've done the compression test it holds up i said that the first time, and no there isnt a leak i had one before and thats all new. today i put a brand new thermostat and gasket in. like its not a head gasket, if it was it would be overheating within minutes of driving correct? and if it is my fans, in this az heat with no radiator fans thats prob bad? idk like im trying to give the best details, and the fluctuation of heat is even on the Highway after like 10=20min of driving faster if ac is used
