I am getting married in less than two weeks and I am still not sure what to do for decorations. We are getting married at my parents house. I am doing everything myself as far as decorations and stuff go. I am even making my own cake and bouquets. Anyways we are getting married under a tree in my parents front yard and I want to hang flowers or something from them but I am not sure how to go about it. Also, I need some other ideas for decorations. We are on a very very tight budget so any ideas would be great.
Thanks!!!

what about something simple on or in the tree like the tiny white christmas lights... you know the icecicle kind or something? maybe wrap them on the tree trunk or on a few low branches? that would be realy pretty... and you should try to incorporate some color, pattern, or flower that you have in your bouquets in the scenary too. then everything gets pulled together!
Best wishes with your new life. Just remember that the day you get married will be the first day of the rest of your life!!
HAVE FUN! i'm sure it will be beautiful!!
:)

What about taking tulle in one of the colors you are using for your wedding and wrapping it around the trunk of the tree with a big ribbon in the middle and the other color of your choice (or white if you prefer )ribbons and stream them from the branches to touch the ground. The guest chairs seated to make an isles and have sticks(you can paint and just put into the ground nothing fancy) next to each row of chairs and run tulle (like a sash with bows to decorate each isle. if you have extra money and you are having wedding at night you could hang tea lights from the branches with colored ribbon instead of just the colored ribbons from the branches. Another idea is whitle lights to decorate the tree in your wedding color.

www.flickr.com has some great pics of tree ribbons one is #94 and the other is #15 just go to www.flickr.com and type in tree ribbons in the search box I hope these ideas help and by the way WHY did you wait so long to ask for ideas or help? Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and may god bless you both with love joy and endless happiness.

Try going to a fabric store. A few yards of a nice fabric or a color that matches your wedding colors goes a long way! You can drape them over branches or tie between trees, it can really add a lot of dramatic 'umph' when using fabrics.

Tea lights or votives are really cheap, too, and you can get those from any dollar store and scatter around the yard (careful not to put near anything flamable) and let that bring a nice ambiance to the scene.

You can use some of the fabric as table runners, too, to drape over tables for a splash of color or get lace for more traditional looks.

fairy lights! lots and lots of fairy lights! that will give it a very romantic look. as for hanging anything from the tree, what about wedding bells? they are really quite inexpensive and look quite pretty. you could pick up a couple of big pots of mums to place here and there in the yard to give it color and they are less than twenty bucks a pot!
whatever you choose happy wedding!
