Our Son is Due Sept 26!

My husband has a nice bike that he got as a gift a few years ago and we were going to get rid of if but decided to keep it. Well suddenly hes attached to it like its a child. It is curently being kept in our unfinished family room and when we finish the family room it needs to go elsewhere.
Well we have a shed, no garage, thats of decent size. Its not leaky but it does have open triangles on the sides at the top, which we can easily close up.
He is hell bent on not putting it in the shed because it will rust... I asked what he intended to do with it, and that orr family is not the bike storage/hanging room, its a family room. So I sought ways to make the shed more acceptable to him.
Whats wrong with sticking a bike in a shed? Its not going to rust over night, its not even going to get wet. The only moisture it will get is humidity like everything else where we live (Western Washington).
What are alternatives to shed storage other than inside? Anything? Is he just being stubborn and paranoid? Even a new plastic shed or wooden shed would still be subjected to the same conditions...
