Tamora Pierce, definatly. She's AWSOME! I love the 'Terrier/Bloodhoud or whatever seriea. So good. She also wrote the Lioness Quaret, The Protecter of the Small, and that one with Briar and Sandra and Trish and whoever..? I liked Melting Stones, too. Go Little Mountain gummy bear!!!
 
Wow. Not a single Author I like is up there. Where't Poe and Steinbeck? You're missing the Bronte sisters, Toni Morrison, H.G. Wells, and Hemingway!

Edit: Actually, I have read one novel by Tamora Peirce, it was a decent book--although I was in the 5th grade.
 
you know....i don't think i recognize any of these names. it's hard without the full names, especially if they're really old authors, like from the 50's or something. shoot.

Caroline Cooney hands down! she an extremely amazing writter. i reccommend the book wanted thats my favorite one, also walter dean myers 145th street short stories is awsome , and monster was great to
