My husband and I are at Fort Campbell, Kentucky right now and my husband just reenlisted and is reclassing, so in February he is heading back to AIT for three months (around February 26-May 25th).
Well yesterday he received his orders that we're moving to Fort Hood, Texas after his AIT is done in May.
Well, he was mentioning that he has to "clear post" and do some paperwork or something, so it will take some time after his AIT is done before we can move down there. I was wondering, on average, how long it takes to get everything situated so you can actually move to your destination? How long does it take to clear post and stuff? I would talk more with my husband about it but he doesn't know much more than I do, and plus he is in the field till Friday. And I am really excited cause Texas is where I am from so I would like a good timeline defining when I should expect to be back home! Thanks alot!!
Thank you everyone you guys were all EXTREMELY helpful. I will check out those websites tomorrow after work. Thank you thank you thank you!

You must have orders from campbell too fort hood and make copies always make copies of everything becuse the army love loseing stuff. For your husband to clear post he is given a check list of what he has to do before clearing post;and it all depends on how fast he move too every station.when clear CIF thats the hard part i think becuse they are so picky with the gear being clean what i did is stick all my ta50 i the wash with tide and when i dried it i throw fibrick softner in the so if it doesn't look clean it smells clean. It's hard to answer this questioned becuse there is so much to cover and i tried the best i can.P.S his squad leader should be makeing this as comfortable as possible if hes not someone needs to talk to him.
