Other riders' perception of Ducati riders...

Hahaha. Well, slower than I'd like to be at least. But any faster and it would be unsafe because I'd be going over my comfort zone. I'm just chipping away at my comfort zone slowly instead of taking a sledge hammer to it.

I live in Hollywood CA and I have to say that due to the fact that there are SO many Desmosedici's (I know at least 5 guys personally) in the area I barely ever get a blink when I pull up on my 1098. I am used to getting attention on my 749 (especially now that I have the funky paint) but they reserve the "oh, he thinks he's bad ass" attitude for the 16RRs. I used to get props for taking my Ducks to the track but when I did Laguna Seca in May there were easily 10-15 ducks out there and none of us had chicken strips!

Here in the east of England ducs are still fairly rare so when Legs is out on her bike all i see is people stop and stare as she goes by and giving her the thumbs up probably due to riding an amazing bike but also her sexuality

Your perceptions are not unique but the truth is that most people will respect you on and off the road for riding a pretty sculpture like a Ducati. I get thumbs up all the time from numerous people. Then, there are some who are just jealous and mean just like the queer dealer I went to. The latest on that is that the UPS guy walked in on them making out in the shop! Ride safe and keep it polished!

This little lady got a flat up by Bear Mtn on July 4th and lucky for her a Ducati shop was right down the street. For not owning a Ducati she sure had 'tude. It's hard to make out but on the side of her bike it read "You just got passed by a girl."
