I have never had regular periods. Before starting birth control I was lucky if I had a period once every 6 weeks. Only stayed on BC for less than 2 years which caused my period to come every 2 weeks. I've been off BC for a year now and have had cycles ranging from 21 days to 40. I know that I ovulated during one of those cycles because I was using the OP test strips. On the following cycle I was unable to detect ovulation. This current cycle is now on day 41 with no period in sight. I am trying to get pregnant. Is there anything besides PCOS that could be causing this? The only symptom I have of PCOS is irregular periods. I don't suffer from extreme PMS and seldom experience any type of cramping. I might experience a heavy flow 2x a year but nothing serious. Help!
Thanks Shollia. I went to my OBGYN and he ruled out the thyroid problem. The waiting list to see the specialist is 2-3 months. I was just hoping to find out what other people who might have the same problem had to say. Hoping to find out more when I see the specialist. Have you had any luck with getting pregnant after finding out you have PCOS?
