otc prilosec

hey guys. ive been having problems with throat tightness, gagging and anxiety. i was told possible acid reflux i was put on prilosec otc and i take it every night. its been 3 nights. when will this kick in. does it take a little while?
 
In my experience, it should take effect within a few hours of first dose, but that is more for heartburn. The throat problems don't seem to be as treatable with acid blockers.
 
remeraber this...your anxiety about this could also be making it worse...sometimes it does take a couple of days to kick in..if it is reflux(and i suspect it is)if you have damaged your eso, it could take a couple of weeks to heal it....i have been on prilosec since 2001, first the script version and then the otc one....try to keep the anxiety down and you may be surprised that those throat things get better....i found that out.....
