Perhaps a wait longer than you suspect. Last night, the evening news report
said refund checks may be delayed if there is a government shut-down over
the budget - the President hasn't decided whether the IRS is an essential
service. My guess is, IRS collection is an essential service, disbursement
isn't.

Dang Andy! They hit you harder than me. I got back $70 after costs.

It was a wonderful sushi supper at my favorite place!

My bill there is usually about $50. They have excellent sushi, service
and sake. They also serve a lot of other meals there, but I've never
gotten past their sushi.

l, not -l,

I have an Uncle Sam two dollar bill on display. Could be worth a few
bucks?

Maybe I should invest? ;)

Best,

Landon,

It certainly looks like a nice place and I'm all in favor of the
cuisine!

So, what can I get for two bucks?

Best,

Andy

They'll be awhile sending out mine, they don't like giving back cash.

I have a *real* two dollar bill with Santa Claus's picture on it
instead of a dead president. I wonder if they still print $2 bills
like that? Easter is coming. Can I find the Easter Bunny on a $2
bill now?

l, not -l,

I'll let you know, if and when I know. ;)

Mine is a 1976 bicentennial re-issue to celebrate America becoming 200
years old. Nothing collectible about it I'd guess.

Pop had a $2.00 bill with "Silver Certificate" on the back, now in my
brother's possession. That's gotta be collectible, someway, somehow.

Andy
NOT 200 years old, yet!

I hope you framed that check!!!

Those many years later? That's insane, no matter how one chooses to spin
explanation!

That's the Feds. NY likes to hang on to it a bit longer. [June would
not surprise me]

Thanks to income sharing, we weren't hit too badly. My wife gets back
$1200 and I pay $1500. She has been collecting a government pension that
they do not deduct any tax from, and I collected one month of it last
year, no tax deducted. Considering the amount of pension collected, we
were expecting to pay, and the $300 difference isn't too bad.
