Wensday

Feeding Two - Tropical Flakes

Thursday
Feeding One - Cichlid Pellets
Feeding Two - Cichlid Pellets

Friday
Feeding One - Tropical Flakes
Feeding Two - Tropical Flakes

Saturday
Feeding One - Live Goldfish
Feeding Two - Cichlid Pellets

I try to keep varity in my oscars diets.

So what do you think.
Synth, good idea, imma think about changing it
i cant get my hands on alot of live foods because i dont live near a pet store, nearest one is 45 min drive, and also, susie, goldfish are only 18 cents.

Looks good. May want to give flakes after goldfish instead of the pellets though...

looks good obviously pellets and flakes are multi protein feeds which theoretically require no other foods, however, to give a little more variety i'd drop one of the goldfish and replace with chopped worms, or gut loaded locusts, to a certain extent there's plenty of different stuff you can feed them if you willing to collect them or check out other outlets, maggots, particle baits and boilies angling outlets, crickets mealy, butter, silk worms are freely available from reptile outlets also.

i would probaby steer clear of the flakes... and if not get chiclid flakes not tropical ones they are food for a different kind of fish and the oascars will nto get the vitamens they need with the tropical stuff...oscar diet is high in proten..

you need more live food, so i would get your self some crickets, and live worms and blood worms, oscars eat an amazing amount of food, and they are always hungry

if you want them to grow faster then power feed (3 times a day each feed being something different)

the only pellets i would suggest are high in protein, they are quiet smelly. and they sink give them a bit of a hunt to find them... and the live foos is good to, like you said the gold fish, i would get feeder barbs tho they are cheaper than gold fish and they will catch them faster than the goldfish.....

also after a perod of time they will no longer eat the flakes and pellets and they love live foos and after golfish or feeded barbs they just wont eat again untill they are no longer hungry...

also the pellets if not eaten can cause deisease in the tank quite quickly
hope i have been helpful, any more questiosn email me :)
