OS5 Simulator Comments/Poll

I'd like to know how many of you use an OS5 simulator to try out apps on the PC before loading on the handheld.

I believe it ties up around 30MB (estimate) but would allow me to "try things out" on the desktop first, and assuming there are no T3 specific" glitches

(NO! There couldn't be!?)

I'd be able to avoid deletion, saved prefs hunting, cleaning up archive folder, etc etc.

Just curious.

I downloaded the OS 5 Simulator when it first became available and couldn't get it to run on my PC for some reason. I'd been using the POSE (Palm OS Emulator) for a while, with ROMs from my old PalmPilot Personal, Visor Deluxe, and m125, and it was pretty useful if you keep in mind that the Emulator would report problems that wouldn't even faze the actual PDA. (I turned debugging off completely and that helped.)

I still have the POSE with my m125's ROM (and a m500 skin) at work. We're into Six Sigma here and the Six Sigma Calculator is fun to fool with. (And I can play FreeCell during lunchbreak.)

Well, I have the simulator and the full SDK installed on my brand new PC, but as the PC suddenly stopped booting I'm stuck at the moment.. I sure hope to be able to use it in the future though :-)
