A mass of 2 kg is attached to a spring hanging from a fixed
support. The natural length of the spring is 0.5 m. The hanging
mass causes the spring to have an equilibrium length of 0.7 m.
(a) If the spring is stretched to a length of 1 m and then released
with initial velocity 0 ms-1, find the position of the
mass at any time t.
(b) Suppose that the spring and mass system is immersed in
a fluid with damping constant 100 Nsm-1. Find the position
of the mass at any time t if it starts from the equilibrium
position and is given a push to start it with an initial
downward velocity of 0.6 ms-1. Is the system overdamped,
underdamped or critically-damped?

please help me to solve this
