Ordering Channels on 188 - Up to 24 Hrs?

Yesterday I ordered the Movie Network package so that I could watch the final Sopranos episodes. I assumed that there would be no one to add the channels at 1-888-SKY-DISH given that it was Good Friday so I ordered the package using channel 188 on my receiver.

It says it could take up to 24hrs for the channels to be activated. Given that pretty much everything Bell has ever told me was wrong, I figured I'd double check on here to see if that is, in fact, true and if there's anything else I need to do (restart receiver etc) for this to work.

PS - When I go to Channel 188 today the option for me to subscribe to the Movie Network package is now gone, so my order definitely went through.
 
Your best bet is to call today, Saturday to find out the status or you could be out-of-luck come Sunday.
 
Seems that there is lots of problems with internet orders and self serve (channel 188) orders...most of the time it doesn't go throught! Same when you activate receivers throught self serve and internet.

Call the 1-888-SKY-DISH and choose the options to get technical help. All Express Vu agents (even the techs) could place an order. Explain that you activated it over 24 hours and it doesn't work. If it didn't go throught the agent will add it on and be more than happy that he got an easy call, with no troubleshooting, if it shows on your account he would do the troubleshooting. For tech issues BEV is opened 24/7. We are even opened on Chritsmas and New Year for tech!

Here is what they will ask you to verify:Go to menu 6-1-1 and tell us the signal that you will see under the bar on the right. Go to the transponder and change it to 01, then 02- then 13- then 14, then 31 and finally 32, telling them the signal on each. Press cancel once and then 3 to be in system info they will ask you the software version, then ask you to press next twice to be in system info 3. They will ask you to look at the new card ready line and tell they the number after the REV. If everything is good, they will re-initialise your programming and everything will be there in 15 minutes to 2 hours
 
I've had experience where the self-serve subscription options do not work for me.

Call them up and have them add it.
