Oral sex? 69? Which is better?

I'm about to go oral for the first time and I was wondering which was better to start with, just taking turns or 69? Which do the guys prefer more? And how do I make it more enjoyable for him?

Any tips would be great! :)
Oh and it's NOT his first time. He's been around, so I don't want to be disappointing
