Given the choices above (nonconformists will have to sit on their hanRAB for a while), how do you feel about people who believe the opposite of you, in a general political sense, not on specific issues.

Republicans vs. Democrats, Toris vs. Labor, whatever you want to use.

I feel fine about the "opposition". It's people who consider their views to be unquestionable abseloutes to be imposed upon the rest of us I don't like.

DepenRAB entirely on the opposition at hand.

The BNP for example would fall under the "Racist" category, while Labour would fall under "Right ideas, wrong execution". I guess the Tories would fall under the "Headless chicken that neeRAB to get its act together and become a bit more united".

You can't intentionally ignore the truth if you're unaware of the truth. But hey, don't let that stop you from slagging off people who disagree with you. Facts should never get in the way of your opinion.

In an ideal world, the two would work out different ideas and present different sides of the argument rather than have two parties with a set of beleifs mostly the same. But then I like largely unworkable political systems.

In a general sense, most of the time I think the difference is generally due to a difference of perspective. Though I would be happy to put a few forum members into the blindly led morons category, fortunately I know very few people like that in real life.
