I'm having a debate with a long-time rival of mine. We were discussing foreign policy (the Iraq war, specifically). I think it's really been a success (essentially a "mission accomplished"), but my rival disagrees. He made the following point:
"When we went in, there were only three countries: Great Britain, Australia, and the United States. That's not a grand coalition. We can do better."
UGH! He just doesn't seem to get it! How do I make a good rebuttal to that statement? I have the feeling that he forgot something or someone, but I just can't put my finger on it. Any help is appreciated!
