opk- ovulation testing?

hi i did my opk on monday morning and it showed a smiley face however later that evening no smiley face.
i did not test sunday but did on saturday which was negative.
if i had sex monday evening when it showed negative what are my chances of becoming pregnant. should i of tried when i first see the smiley face that morning
i am only doing opk. so if the lh surge shows before the egg is released and my egg was already relised is the a chance it could have been fertilised on monday when i BD
 
well with out having the information from sunday it is hard to tell. are you BBT or checking your CM as well? OPK test predict 12-36 hr BEFORE the egg is released so the egg might or might not have been release by the time you BD monday night. you also have to remember that the egg lives for about 12-24hr as well.

ps i dont recommend going by opk test alone you should use them in combination with BBT or checking CM

say if you had tested sunday @ 12pm got a + and tested sunday night @ 9 pm got a + test on monday morning @ 9 am got a +. from sunday @ 12pm to monday @ 9am is less than 24 hr before ovulation. lets say your egg was release @ 3pm on monday which would mean that your egg has a 12-24 hr window of being fertilized. And that you BD @ 10pm monday night.

In short I would say yes the chances of you concieving are the normal 20-25% which is good.
