I have been on birth control (the pill) for the past two years. Before I was on BC, my periods were pretty irregular, but while on it I've had consistent 28 day cycles every time with no spotting or bleeding in between periods. Usually I start my white pack of placebo pills on Friday and my period starts on Monday.
At the begining of November I finished the pack and decided to go off of it. The first day of my last period was Monday November 8th (I ended my period on Friday Nov. 12th. P.S. Day 1 of your cycle is the first day of your period, right? Not the first day after your period ends?).
Usually I think can feel when I ovulate (I cramp from one side or the other). If you count Nov. 8th as day one of my cycle, I had cramping on days 14 and 16.
I had unprotected sex pretty regularly this month, and I had sex the day before, during, and after I felt cramping.
I had brown spotting on Nov. 22 and then again the next day (only twice when I wiped).
If I go with my 28 day cycle that I've been on the past two years, I should have started my period Monday Dec. 6th. Yet it's Dec. 14th and no period yet. I'm sure that coming off BC could have affected my cycle right? I haven't had many pregnancy symptoms (no nausea or anything), but I did have brown spotting exactly a week after I cramped/a week before my period was due. I've also had some headaches and my nipples have been kind of sore, but no darkening of the nipples or anything. I've also gained a little weight (could that be from coming off the BC?).
I took an HPT two days after my missed period, but it was negative. However, I took one tonght, and it had a very very faint line (within the 10 minute window). It has a bluish tint to it but I'm still not sure if it's an evap line because it was a cheap pregnancy test and I'm not sure if my mind was playing tricks on me either! But there is def. a line there!
Could it be that I used urine from late at night instead of early in the morning? I'm wondering if it could be just an evap line. I'm going to test again in the morning and I'll let you know!
Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated! I'm 21 and have only been with one person and am so excited for kids, just not sure if I'm ready yet (I'm not done with school yet!)
