Opinions on my phone choices

I live in Manitoba Canada. I am stuck between the following phones:

MTS
1) Motorola Milestone
2) Motorola Spice (when 4g network is released)

I am looking at android phones. Also, is the Milestone upgradeable (android 2.2 or whatever the new version is)?

I think Froyo for the Milestone might be officially out by April for unlocked phones.

Between the two, I would prefer the Milestone over the Spice.
