opinions on chrysler pt cruiser?

well my daughter is about to start driving and she says she likes the pt cruiser.
Do you think the pt. cruiser is alright for a young driver?
And any other opinions on the cruiser would be helpful thank you :)

myself i really don't think the design is nice but she likes it so guess i'll have to deal with it haha
 
It is a Chrysler. So therefore the build quality is horrible and you will spend more on repairs then what you will probably pay for it. Seriously reconsider this purchase. Look into Honda,Toyota,Subaru,Nissan.
 
I have one with 83K miles on it. Nice little car but underpowered. The rear suspension had to be repaired at 40K (somewhere around $400 if I recall correctly)but otherwise no problems. Defiantly a 'light duty" car. Don't expect to tow anything heavier than a bicycle or carry more than a couple of suitcases. Gets 32+ mpg & is a joy to drive until you try to use the passing lane.
