Opinions on bike purchase.

There are two bikes I am currently looking at and would appreciate all the pros/cons and any other opinions you may have.

Bike 1 is a 2000 996S, 15k miles, full termi carbon pipes and chip, monoposto, red, looks great. Tagged number 314 on the tripple tree.

Bike 2 is a 2002 998, 5k miles, bone stock but something fell on the tank and it has a few deep scratches. Yellow. Biposto.

I have seen both bikes in person and both are in very good condition. I prefer red, mono, and termis, but the yellow 998 is newer, lower miles. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
 
Nobody will dispute that the 998 is a better bike than the older ones. Better electrics etc. But what's the price differential. That will decide for you.

Why;
it is red...
it is a monoposto. Enough said...it has the full termis as well, which you will buy for any duc sbk anyways...
And I need to check but I guess a 2000 996S would have Ohlins forks as well... and some more goodies depending on for which market it had been built.
