I have yet to get my L for driving and riding, but where I live you can ride with a supervisor immediately then after 30 days take a skills test and ride on your own if you pass. I have lots of experience on a mountain bike, doing DJ, downhill and trail riding so i think that might be an asset. I have little experience on a motorized bike, ive ridden a friends dirt bike (90cc or something) and found it relatively easy. Anyways, im looking for a good starter bike that will get me past my Learners Skills test and take me through up to my N. Im also going to be taking a riding course at a riding school nearby. So i was looking on craigslist and found out that a good place to start would be with a Ninja 250r according to lots of people, but i also found some Honda 125r's that go for about half the price, as low as 1700. I did some research and found out they can do around 70mph which would be fine for me since i ride mostly on city streets to get to places. So, do you think i should go with a CBR 125? Or whould i maybe wait a little longer and save up for a 250 or something bigger. (Also I dont make a ton of money and it will probly take me about 3 or 4 months to come up with 2grand)
Opinions on a Honda 08 CBR 125r?
