PROBLEM:
After finally leaving after 5-years of what I thought couldn't be worse than T-M, I just recently switched over to Verizon and into another nightmare.
No matter how many trips to a store or 611 calls could I get any questions answered, my phone switched, correct plan or promised credits and adjustments to my bill(s) for services I've barely used. A lot of problems in a short amount of time caused by lack of competence, professionalism, knowledge and too mush "it's not my job" attitude. When I told them (in a matter of words), if these issues are not resolved, I will cancel my account(s), their attitude changed zero degrees
Before I made the switch, I had always heard how great Verizon was so this was the least expected. I'm in the LOS ANGELES area.
I'm also the least bit impressed with their phone selection for camera & bluetooth enabled. The Data Card for what it is has been good on connection and petty good on speed.
NEED:
My cell is my dedicated phone. I have no land-line. It is used for both business and personal. I wanted to upgrade to a bluetooth for necessity and camera for as-needed convenience. I love music, but currently don't have time to play around with uploads & downloads, but maybe down the road.
The Data Card at this time is my only internet connection for business and personal, so reliability and speed is also an issue.
DILEMMA:
After an extension on the 15-day "Worry-Free" guarantee and finally adjustments to my bill, I have until this Monday to exchange my phone and keep Verizon or run from the contract now and switch to Sprint.
The phones I have to choose from are the Moto E815 or V3c. The E815 has good reviews but I'm thrilled visually. I like the V3c for the thin-line appearance (not because of the trend) but every employee says not to buy it and not all reviews are great.
Is it too much to ask for a phone that is visually appealling and fulfills your needs?
If I stay with Verizon, is this what I have to put up with for 2-years? A 2nd thought that they extended my phone purchase guarantee that was bought on the same receipt as the Data Card, does that constitute the Data Card contact is extended to and can be terminated also?
I have no experience with Sprint re customer service or reliability of reception and no/few dropped calls. Their phone selection is a bit better though, especially the A900 (for more $$$ now @ BestBuy only $139 w/instant rebates). I hear their Data Card is neck & neck with Verizon's.
I don't want to make a 3rd mistake. I've lost too much time over this mess. Can anyone help straighten me out here? I'm on research overload!
