I've heard of a few of these, but some of them I just have no idea. Any summary of the works or authors would be gladly appreciated as I have to pick one of them to read (but I'll definitely read more than a couple when I have some spare time). Thank you guys in advance.
Paradise Lost - John Milton (I've heard this one pop up too many times to not read it)
Leaves of Grass - Walt Whitman
John Donne's Poetry - John Donne (I liked the "No Man Is An Island" one, but I don't think Meditation XII is in here)
The Rape of the Lock and Other Poems - Alexander Pope
Life Studies/For the Union Dead - Robert Lowell
The Collected Poems of John Keats - John Keats
The Waste Land and Other Poems - T.S. Eliot
How We Became Human - Joy Harjo
Other names include W.H. Auden, Charles Bukowski, Marianne Moore, and Emily Dickinson.
