Opinion on Nokia 6030???

I am looking for a GSM phone with good reception for a family member, and don't need a phone with camera/data/edge/modem/mp3 -- just polyphonic - mp3 ringtones. They go for $65 incl shipping on e-bay.

Any drawbacks of this phone I may have missed or annoying features?

Is the reception as good as other Nokia's like the 6103 or 6010? This is the primary consideration.

I've played with it at Radio Shack a few times. It's nothing special, but that seems to be what you're looking for. In that sense, it's a solid phone, but does feel a little creaky in places. If you're just looking for a "phone," though, consider the Nokia 3120 or the Nokia 6010.
 
Ive had the 6030 for a few months and had no problems with it. At the time I bought it I was just looking for a simple phone like you are, and its perfect as just a phone. Great reception in my area when everyone else I know has dropped calls, loud speakerphone, long battery life, ect. The annoying things about it I guess would be that it always seems to end up on the internet when I think the keypad is locked and in my pocket, and if you drop it almost every piece of the phone will fly off in different directions. So its not the strongest phone, but it still works just fine.
