Opinion of 2008 or 2009 Chevrolet Impala?

I am considering a Chevy Impala. I have good service out of Chevy Cavaliars I have owned getting ovrer 200,000 miles on each one. I am not worried about GM going bankrupt; I just want to hear from people who own Impalas & how they perform. Edmonds.com had differing opinions
 
I have a 2000, and love it.
Good fuel economy, avg about 25mpg, seats 6 (yes, i have the bench seat in the front), very comfortable ride, good performance, very low mx costs, i have not had any major repair to date, and cheap insurance because they are large sedans with high safety ratings, and not a high theft vechile.
Plus, they are not cop magnents, altough sporty looking, will not be targeted like a bright red mustang.
