I've read that people have opera working on their 6275i with cricket, I cant get it to download due to 403: forbidden at mini.opera.com. Do I just need to install it through the usb cable, or do I need to do the whole modding process. I was under the impression that cricket didnt lock out java apps like virgin and bell do with this phone.

i was able to download and install it through the mobile web. do you have wap enabled on your account? that could result in the 403 forbidden, and even if you side-load opera, you still won't be able to use it unless you have wap.

Yes I do have wap, I did it through the google portal too. The opera website comes up and it takes me through a little wizard where I pick my phone model. At the end for download instructions it says point your browser to mini.opera.com and answer yes to the questions. Thats where I get stuck. I am going to just go get the usb, I need it anyways for other things. Again thanks for the help.

I also downloaded it over WAP to my new 4 day old 6275i from the sight you just stated. I had to work at it for awhile, but it finally worked. I think I reset the browser and soft reset the phone a couple of times. If you have a mini sd card and usb card reader you can just add any future apps that way. I added games, themes, MP3 ringers, video's and a nuraber of apps in this manner. Everything works Great. By the way give FLURRY a try. It's a Java Email app that works great. Mobile9 is a great sight for all that's cool and Free in the way of Java apps for your 6275i.
Enjoy your killer new phone
