Open Table

Make reservations using your OpenTable account. When you dine at the
restaurant, you'll gain a certain number of "points". When you accumulate
enough points, OpenTable will send you a certificate which can be used as
credit for dining at any OpenTable restaurant.

A few of my favorite restaurants in Houston, that are listed on Open
Table, are El Meson, it was a Mexican restaurant until a man from Cuba
purchased it. Now they offer Cuban food on one side of the menu and
Mexican food on the other side. It is the only restaurant where I could
find Cuban food in Houston. The ambiance is not the best, but the food
is good. La Griglia is listed as an Italian restaurant, but they focus
on seafood. This restaurant is pricey, but lunch is affordable. This is
the restaurant where my bill for lunch was $25 and I gave the waiter a
$50 and he never came back. When I questioned someone about it, the
waiter returned to my table, he thought the balance was his tip.
Ninfa's on Navigation is one of her original restaurants, it is Mexican
food. Enjoy your visit to Houston.

I used to love Ninfa's. Might have to go and make a pilgrimage for old
time sake.
Do you remember a "fast food" place called Two Pesos? It closed years
ago. I used to love that place. I loved the tacos al carbon early in the
day with kick ass pico de gallo.

Wow! That was presumptive. A $25 tip for a $25 meal. He must have

Houston has a lot of good restaurants, but it is always sad when a good

It was awfully presumptive. Earlier, I was visiting the Clayton
Genealogical Library, which takes a few hours, so I was eating alone. I
had been to this restaurant a couple of times and we had a Christmas
party at the restaurant for everyone at work. The waitstaff had always
been nice, so I did not hold that against them. I figured that guy
would not be there, long.
